Community Engagement - ‘ideas in action’
Cultivator regularly collaborates with various partners in place based community engagement programs that stimulate connections and dialogue between youth, community stakeholders, industry and innovative thinkers. These programs are where problems meet solutions in a creative, new way.
We use creativity as the tool to build effective relationships through creative collaborative practices in a meaningful engagement of practical hands-on workshops that provides participants the opportunity to connect, find purpose and realise their potential.
Aims
Promote peer to peer and inter-generational community collaboration.
Develop leadership - build positive and respectful relationships through sharing ideas, skills and knowledge.
Teach design thinking practices - exploring, defining, testing and presenting potential solutions.
Provide social connectedness through sustained engagement of practical hands-on workshops.

Plus other panels dedicated to the dried fruits production, Vanilla slice, Merbein Historical Society, Merbein Centenary and all that Merbein has in its rich past.
LMW again partnered with Cultivator to produce a large scale mural inSwan Hill to be erected around the river pump station. The community was engaged to both develop the concept and paint the beautiful mural, under the guiding eye of world renowned mural artist George Rose. The process was a truly collaborative process with the community driving the ideas and content for the artworks.
2017's Cultivator lineup was incredible. Every year we have the most amazing speakers share their journey and stories with us and we were so blown away with this years. From an advertising guru to a man who walked the world, another who reports on it in unbelievable conditions. A girl who paints her with magic and another who embraces community and self love with so much passion.
The Pump Station Mural is a collaboration between Lower Murray Water, artist George Rose, our Cultivator team and the students from SuniTAFE. The two large murals will be fixed to our pump station located adjacent to the new Mildura Rowing Club and cafe complex on the riverfront. Created by mural artist George Rose the project involved cross-collaboration between education, cultural, creative and inter generational groups. The vibrant murals will enhance the riverfront precinct - keep an eye on our page for when we launch this amazing artwork :)

The Cluster Box Project is a collaboration between Lower Murray Water, Cultivator Inc and members of the Merbein community that celebrates the rich history and cultural diversity of Merbein. The project is ongoing as there are a number of cluster boxes spread along what was the old channel that carried water to the vineyards and citrus orchards, replaced by the Sunraysia Modernisation Project pipeline. We will continue to run workshops with the Merbein community with 'ideas in to action' and skills based learning workshops.
Members of the Mildura community of all ages gathered together at The Lab to learn some new creative skills and have a lot of fun along the way at Cultivator’s Type & Tee workshop in June.
