Rita Siow is known for being the general manager of AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) and has been associated with the industry body since it's inception in 1992.

Rita visited Mildura as a student in 1988 attending the first 'Asia and Pacific Design Conference' and advocated for a national and international approach to form an Australian design community and engaged with studios from all states as well as with international industry bodies like ICOGRADA.

She also established the 'Design Effectiveness' category in the AGDA Awards which focuses on celebrating measurable and client focused graphic design. Rita now is a Adjunct Senior Lecturer School at the of Art, Architecture and Design, University of South Australia.
